Margret Doemland

Research Assistant

UConn School of Social Work

Margret Doemland is a graduate student at the school of social work pursuing her masters in the individuals, groups, and families track. Upon graduation, Margret will seek clinical licensure and hopes to continue her work with clients across the lifespan in an integrated care setting working alongside other health care professionals to provide patients with the most holistic and collaborative treatment possible.

Prior to graduate school, Margret spent a couple of years working in Winooski, VT with marginalized and underserved youth suffering from serious emotional disturbances and the complexities that come along with lives defined by trauma and poverty. Developing a passion in working with youth and helping them have their voices heard and needs met drove Margret to pursue a research position on a project dedicated to learning more about cyberbanging among youth in urban areas. While building a clinical career, Margret also hopes to continue working in research that can help influence our mental health systems and create opportunities for clinical care that accurately represent the community and their needs.
